I am the program manager for Advance Iowa, bringing over twenty years of small business experience to the team. My career has included owning my own company as well as consultation work for various trades which range from the small family shops to multi-million-dollar operations. My role at Advance Iowa follows a similar path assisting companies in identifying value drivers for business growth, providing strategic / financial valuation assessments and offering customized succession planning with a specialization in employee ownership models.

With that, it is an honor to be a part of the Iowa Center for Employee Ownership (IA-CEO) which is located under the UNI Advance Iowa department. Growing up in a small rural community, I have witnessed many storefronts close permanently when the owner could not locate a buyer upon their retirement. This can be devastating to the area. Employee ownership can help mitigate this challenge bringing economic sustainability to all localities. I am advocate of this business model and driven to spread employee ownership education to all stakeholders.
