Kauth has spent several years as a business lender for community banks and founded the current Entrepreneurship program his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, where he prior directed the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center there, where the team earned the 2014 Service Excellence Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. He has served as a Chief Mentor at the European Innovation Academy, lead organizer of 1 Million Cups Green Bay, administrator of the Northeast Wisconsin Business Plan Contest, and board officer of Shoreline Credit Union. He served on the boards of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association, AMA Northeast Wisconsin, YPs of Manitowoc County, and Manitowoc County Habitat for Humanity as well as several chamber and main street program committees. He currently serves as a board officer for ColorBold Business Association, Two Rivers Main Street, and Medicine Fish Corp, and volunteers with BizStarts (Milwaukee), SCORE Green Bay, Progress Lakeshore, INCubatoredu at both Kimberly and Sheboygan North High Schools, and WWBIC's Northeast Wisconsin Ambassadorial Advisory Board.
