Launch manager, illinois center for employee ownership

Illinois

A central part of my work is to see the world from other people's perspectives. That helps broaden my approach to tackling creative challenges, whether building a new nonprofit, teaching students, or helping to innovate in employee ownership conversions and impact finance.

Prior to working to build the Illinois Center for Employee Ownership and, before that, the first employee-owned search fund accelerator at Obran, I spent over a decade developing writing projects with companies like Paramount+, CBS Television Studios, Blumhouse, and Gunpowder & Sky, among others. I co-directed and produced an award-winning documentary, The Entertainers, about the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest. It played on PBS affiliates and on Prime Video.

I am also lucky to teach writing and work with adult learners, many of whom are first generation college or graduate students.

When I'm not working, I love to hike, swim, ski, or shoot hoops with my wife and daughter.
